		Anglesey. Gwynedd. 16th December 2007 I find working with other photographers to be very fruitful at times. Partly this is down to the combination of knowledge and experience, two minds are better than one and all that. Sometimes it’s just that a call out of the blue might take you out on a day that you had not planned for. On this occasion the fact that I was not driving the vehicle gave me the chance to spot this shot as we were driving to another location. It was the recession of tones in the mountains on the other side of the straights that caught my eye and this pier at Beaumaris gave the perfect foreground for it. We were on our way to the Penmon Lighthouse at Black Point and the light was gorgeous but falling from just about the worst possible angle to get the shot I wanted. Every way I tried it I got the shadow of the camera or tripod in the picture. Eventually I tried from the other side of the light which was not quite what I was after but I’m quite pleased all the same. Definitely a trip for another day I think.
